As busy parents ourselves, we founded Crate Date as a solution to the age-old problem of wanting to keep the romance alive… but not wanting to keep the calendar (and the babysitter Venmo) packed. Crate Date allows you to enjoy all of the benefits of a fancy date night without the tip, the babysitter, the valet, and the time — instead, giving you everything you need to create a beautiful date at home. Plus, we’ll be going even further with non-romantic options, too — think: Mommy and Me, Daddy and Me, and even friend dates.
While Crate Date does always include a seasonal, chef-crafted meal for two, it’s not a traditional meal kit service. Our meals shift seasonally through themes, rather than weekly — making it the perfect fit for an occasional date night, but not an ideal choice for a daily dinner plan.
Each romantic Crate Date box includes a seasonally-inspired, chef-crafted meal kit for two, a fondue kit, a game, and aprons. Plus, depending on the season or the theme, you might find something extra!
